Tamika Hardy

Since the seventh grade, Tamika's love of fashion destined her for a career in fashion design, but big plans of attending a prestigious design school and little money forced her to explore other options. With the extra time that not going straight to college afforded her, Tamika went to cosmetology school for manicuring in her home town of Philadelphia. Not too long after graduating, she launched her company, Come To You in New York City. As a businesswoman Tamika has been very successful in steadily building CTY as a high-end luxury brand service.

Tamika's freelance career was born from a small gesture. After Come To You had been featured in Essence, she got word from a beauty editor friend that Mikki Taylor was writing a book on black women and beauty. Tamika sent her a card of congratulations, and as a result was called on by Mikki to do a lot of the manicure work for her book, "Self Seduction". Credits from the book include celebrities Tyra Banks, Patti LaBelle and Erykah Badu. As a manicurist, Tamika's credits include covers for Essence Magazine, as well as Mary Kay, Bloomingdales and Herbal Essence. Her work has been featured in In-Style, Essence, Bal Harbour, Lucky Magazines.
